Wishy's second full-length record follows a prolific initial run that includes their debut LP Triple Seven alongside the EPs Mana, Paradise, and Planet Popstar. Written collaboratively and recorded in a small Los Angeles studio with producer Ben Lumsdaine, the 12-track project saw the quintet tracking half the songs live in the room to capture the immediate energy of their live performances.
Musically, the material blends sugary grunge, dream-pop, '80s college rock, and '00s indie rock. The songs explore themes of romantic frustration, melodrama, and neurotic desire, with lead single Lovesick leaning into overzealous twee-pop influences and ethereal instrumentation reminiscent of The Cure.
