ArcheAge S: Strait of Freedom is an upcoming PC-exclusive MMORPG developed by XL Games and published by Kakao Games, targeting a global release in 2027. Led by original series veteran Kim Kyung-tae, the game is designed to be a true PC sequel that revives the sandbox freedom, large-scale PvP, and rich lore of the 2013 classic. The Name: The subtitle Strait of Freedom references Freedich Island and surrounding lawless maritime zones from the original lore, which are famous for high-stakes open-world naval combat, trading, and PvP conflict.
