Players can experience historical moments alongside key characters like Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert, or take part in the narrative using an original custom hero. Gameplay focuses on aerial combat with enhanced Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) gear against Titans with updated behavior patterns. Battles incorporate tactical options such as Buddy Arts, Combat Arts, and Boost Moves, as well as horse riding to conserve gas, using binoculars to scout targets, and reclaiming outposts to restock blades and health. A Casual Mode option is included to streamline controls for players seeking a more accessible experience. Beyond story encounters, the game features Wall-Outer Investigation missions where players assemble custom squads, hunt Titans, and construct supply bases beyond the walls.
