Gears of War: E-Day (Early Access) Countdown

Set 14 years before the events of the original game, Gears of War: E-Day acts as an origin story taking place during Emergence Day on planet Sera. The campaign follows young Coalition of Ordered Governments (COG) veterans Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago alongside soldiers Mags Carter and Lucas Reyes of Bravo Squad as they fight to survive the initial Locust Horde attack in the city of Kalona. Developed by The Coalition and People Can Fly using Unreal Engine 5, the game updates the series' cover-based shooter formula with revamped mobility and dynamic traversal mechanics. Players can make use of sprint sliding, jumping, climbing without entering cover, low-ground cover options, and aiming through cover gaps. The title features a story campaign supporting four-player online co-op as well as two-player split-screen co-op on consoles. Players also have access to 4v4 competitive matches and a twelve-player co-op mode titled Horde Siege.
