PlayStation Ends Physical Disc Countdown

PlayStation will officially end the production of physical game discs for all new releases starting in January 2028. After this date, new titles will be sold exclusively as digital downloads on the PlayStation Store or as digital codes sold at retail locations. This cutoff only applies to brand-new games launching in 2028 or later; previously released games and those with physical editions releasing before January 2028 will remain unaffected.
