The story centers on a full-scale North Korean invasion of the Korean Peninsula that threatens global stability. Players follow Private Park, a rookie South Korean soldier fighting on collapsing front lines, and outlawed Captain Price waging a shadow war outside the official system. Campaign missions span several global battlegrounds, including New York, Paris, Mumbai, and Korea. Built on a updated gunplay system called Ballistic Authority, the game removes hipfire bloom and adds movement abilities such as hanging and shimmying along pipes and ledges. Beyond the campaign, the game features competitive 6v6 multiplayer, large-scale vehicular combat, and the returning extraction sandbox mode DMZ.
