The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta provides players an opportunity to test gameplay mechanics and offer feedback ahead of the main game launch. The narrative context involves a war on the Korean Peninsula following an invasion by North Korea, focusing on South Korean soldiers on the front lines alongside Captain Price operating in secret.
Participants can test core 6v6 multiplayer maps and modes, Ground War: Combat Outpost, Kill Block, the campaign mission entitled Entrenched, and the Zodiac Resurgence map for Call of Duty: Warzone. Playing during the test phase unlocks rewards that remain available in the final game.
