The February 20–21, 2027 penumbral lunar eclipse is a very deep astronomical event where the Moon passes through the Earth's faint outer shadow, causing the lunar surface to subtly darken. The event lasts for 241.7 minutes (over 4 hours) and coincides with a lunar perigee, producing a slightly larger "supermoon".
